ChatGPT is the the latest offering from OpenAI, the artificial intelligence (AI) startup founded by Elon Musk.

In less than a week since it was made available to the public, OpenAI’s ChatGPT, the AI-powered chatbot that has gone viral, has surpassed one million users. Last Wednesday, ChatGPT was made accessible for public testing as confirmed in a tweet by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.

The chatbot can now respond to any query after being trained on a vast data sets. Numerous post on Twitter showed how the inanimate interface could craft strong wording on any issue. A respectable iambic pentameter poem about Thomas Schelling’s theory of deterrence for international relations was even produced by economist Tyler Cowen using the platform.

Many netizens expect that this OpenAI conversational chatbot, will soon be creating the everyday monotonous emails, articles, code, how-to instructions, and even college essays, considering that  it can easily converse back almost like a real person would. After registering with ChatGPT, a user can start a conversation with the chatbot and expect it to respond with a reasonable amount of intelligence by writing an essay.

As ChatGPT is still on testing, it still needs more improvement to make it almost, if not totally perfect. Along with a number of users, I for one believe it can not just answer basic queries, like the most usual search engine does. If directly linked with the internet, it can even perform lot of things that can make complicated task much easier, significantly improving productivity in a workplace. Though there are safety concerns and security risks, if ever appropriate mitigation measures will be in place in the future, this AI machine once having access to the world wide web will be able to accomplish more tasks unimaginable.

Upon using the platform I realized that as more challenges and opportunities will be open in Web3.0, once fully developed and improved, ChatGPT can help revolutionize research work and many more related functionalities we can imagine.
